Avnet continues to invest in the Middle East

Avnet Technology Solutions EMEA, a value-added distributor of enterprise computing products and an operating group of Avnet, Inc. (NYSE:AVT), announces the appointment of Tarek Massoud as Regional HP Sales Director, effective on the 1^st of August.   

In this newly created role, Massoud will be responsible for Avnet Technology Solutions HP sales organisation for Saudi Arabia. He will report directly to Jamal Qaffaf, General Manager, Avnet Technology Solutions, Middle East.

"With Tarek's skills and experience we will be able to establish and drive the HP business in Saudi Arabia. A dedicated HP sales team will allow us to collaborate with our business partners to create and deliver effective solutions that address the business challenges of their end-user customers in that region," Qaffaf said. "Our objective is to deliver value to our customers and HP through technology knowledge and industry-centric expertise so they can make the most of opportunities, solve business problems and accelerate their success." Qaffaf continues: "Overall, we will continue to invest in innovative programs and services in the Middle East that are designed to achieve our business partners' long-term goals."

Before Massoud joined Avnet, he was responsible for business partner development and supplier management in the Middle East, North Africa and Pakistan at the regional distributor Tech Access. Prior he also served as the country sales manager for Fujitsu Siemens in Saudi Arabia.
