Maintenance contracts for Document Imaging and Storage Networking Services

To avoid downtime of your equipment the Avnet Technology Solutions service department is offering maintenance contracts with guaranteed intervention times.
Within 8 or 4h after notifying our hot line a technician arrives on site to get everything up and running again.

The maintenance contracts include:

  • Unlimited FREE telephone and email support
  • Travel in Belgium and Luxembourg
  • Labour
  • Spare parts, excluding parts defined as consumables
  • One preventive maintenance intervention per year
  • Replacement unit for most equipment
  • User initiation session
  • For scanners: one FREE "Cleaning Products Kit"


Standard contracts guarantee service during office hours (8h30 - 17h00) from Monday to Friday, all through the year excluding the official holidays.
Most of the time the parts, defined as consumables are mentioned in the equipment's user guide. These parts can be easily replaced by the user. On a simple request to Avnet Technology Solutions this information can be supplied for your equipment. The consumable parts can be ordered separately.

Every scanner requires regular cleaning. Paper dust and ink residues can affect the proper functioning of a scanner and influence the image quality.
Based on their experience our technicians have composed a kit with cleaning products that will do the job perfectly. With every scanner maintenance contract purchase you receive one free "Cleaning Products Kit". Additional kits can be purchased using the reference "Cleaning Kit ST1".

During a user initiation session a technician will show the "do's and don'ts" of a scanner, how to clean it and how to replace the consumables.

Whenever the equipment can not be repaired within a reasonable time or if it has to be returned to the lab for repair a replacement unit will be installed at the customer's site allowing him to continue working.

It is possible to extend the services of a standard contract with several options:

  • Additional preventive maintenance interventions: depending on the daily scan volume additional preventive maintenance may be appropriate or to cover the replacement of consumables.
  • Maintenance contracts including delivery and/or replacement of consumables.
  • Interventions beyond office hours: 24 hours a day, 7 days a week


The following table shows the different types of contracts. The "service extension" options are subject to a special quote and may differ depending on the equipment manufacturer.

These contracts include:

  • Unlimited telephone and email support during office hours (8h30 - 17h00), from Monday to Friday, all through the year excluding the official holidays.
  • Upgrade services: on request you receive any upgrade that is available. This includes bug fix releases, minor release and major releases.


Onsite support is also available but requires a purchase order.
