Avnet names Eddy Bergiers Regional Sales Director France and Benelux

Avnet Technology Solutions EMEA, a value-added distributor of enterprise computing products and an operating group of Avnet, Inc. (NYSE:AVT), announces the appointment of Eddy Bergiers as regional sales director France and Benelux, effective immediately.  

In his new role, Bergiers will be responsible for Avnet Technology Solutions business serving as the country manager for France as well as the regional sales director of Belgium, Luxembourg, and The Netherlands. He will report directly to Sukh Rayat, SVP sales, Avnet Technology Solutions EMEA. "Eddy's proven success in the IT Technology market and his experience in the region will serve us well going forward. He will help our business partners to accelerate their success by creating and delivering effective solutions that address the business challenges of end-user customers," Rayat said. "Eddy and his dedicated team will strengthen our market position in France and increase our service and solutions offering across the region."

Bergiers has been sales director of the IBM Business Group for Avnet Technology Solutions France since August 2008. Before Avnet, Bergiers served as country manager Benelux for Bell Microproducts for more than seven years. In 2005, he was recognized by Bell Microproducts with the Sales Excellence Award Europe. Prior to Bell Micro he served as the Belgium country manager for  International Computer Products.
