Migration Phases
The Five Phases of Migration - The BMC Software migration process covers the following phases:
1. Solution Design - Assess the site's underlying configuration and infrastructure thoroughly
2. Infrastructure Creation and Tuning - Create and schedule all required administrative jobs and tasks to maintain proper products operation
3. Process Migration - Convert old scheduling definitions into CONTROL-M standard scheduling definitions, utilizing the old scheduler reports, JCL libraries and other databases as input
4. Parallel Testing and Product Monitoring - Activate CONTROL-M in a "passive" mode in parallel to the old scheduling product
5. Product Activation - Follow the Validation phase, the production schedules can be confidently activated for management by CONTROL-M
