Graeme Watt Graeme Watt is responsible for the strategic direction and profitable growth of Avnet’s value-added IT solutions distribution business throughout EMEA. Mr. Watt joined Avnet Technology Solutions in July 2010 upon Avnet’s acquisition of Bell Microproducts, where he was president of worldwide distribution. He was elected a corporate vice president of Avnet, Inc. in December, 2011. Mr. Watt has more than 20 years of experience in the IT distribution industry. He joined Bell Micro in April 2004 as president of Bell Microproducts Europe. Between April 2004 and May 2008, he was responsible for purchasing and integrating two significant acquisitions while returning the business to profitability. In May 2008, Mr. Watt was appointed president of worldwide distribution for Bell Micro. Prior to Bell Micro, Mr. Watt was president of Tech Data EMEA. He joined the organization in 1988 via First Software, a leading UK distributor, which evolved to become Frontline Distribution and subsequently part of Computer 2000, which later became a Tech Data company. During his three-year tenure as president of EMEA at Tech Data, he was responsible for many developments, including the acquisition of three companies, the implementation of major restructuring programs, the development of a centralized purchasing organization, and the expansion of the company’s e-commerce capabilities.
