A base Red Hat Enterprise Linux server has para-virtualised guest operating system support for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 and version 4 Update 5. It also allows fully-virtualised guest support for versions of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3 upwards. Third party operating systems may also be hosted.
A total of 4 guest operating systems will be supported, unlike Red Hat Enterprise Linux Advanced Platform which is unlimited, constrained only by physical hardware resources.
