Overzicht:
The FBW workshop introduces engineers with working knowledge of layer 2 and layer 3 protocols into Foundry Networks switches and routers. This 1 day workshop is aimed at configuring the most common layer 2 and 3 features and technologies on the Foundry Networks devices.
Doelstellingen:At the end of this course the student will be able to: Describe Foundry Networks layer 2/3 product lines Create Layer 2 and 3 Data Networks using Foundry Switches/Routers Use the Command Line Interface (CLI) to configure & manage Foundry switch/router interfaces, VLANs & protocols Interconnect Foundry switch/routers based on a network design
Doelgroep:Anyone who is new to the Foundry Networks products and services Network Administrators responsible for implementing and managing small to large business networks Network support staff who act as network device installers and first-line support for any size business environment
Voorkennis:Mandatory: Delegates are required to have a working knowledge of the following technologies: The OSI reference model The difference between networks using IP and IPX protocols The differences between, and functions of Layer 2 and Layer 3 devices (switches and routers) Basic routing knowledge Working knowledge of Spanning Tree Protocol Working knowledge of VLAN’s
