Overzicht:
ETH 103 introduces the Brocade Ethernet family of products, the architecture, core features and benefits and how they are utilized in the network. Topics include the basic configuration, operation and management of L2/L3 Switches/Routers using the Command Line Interface (CLI) for the interfaces, VLANs and L2/L3 protocols. This course serves as the foundation for advancing in the understanding of networking technologies and features offered by the Brocade Ethernet family of products.
Doelstellingen:At the end of this course the student will be able to: • Identify where Brocade products are used in a typical data network. • Create Layer 2 and 3 Data Networks using Brocade Ethernet Switches / Routers. • Use the Command Line Interface (CLI) to configure and manage Brocade Ethernet Switch / Router interfaces, VLANs and protocols. • Upgrade software images and files on Brocade Ethernet Switch / Routers. • Interconnect Brocade Ethernet Switch / Routers based on a network design. • Configure Access Lists. • Troubleshoot using CLI showcommands.
Doelgroep:• Customers or resellers who are new to Brocade Ethernet products • Network technicians new to Brocade Ethernet products and services • Network administrators responsible for implementing and managing small to large business networks. • Network support staff who act as network device installers and first-line support for a local-to global-sized business environment. • Brocade Certified Network Engineer (BCNE) candidates
Voorkennis:Working knowledge of: • OSI reference model • IP protocol • Concepts of Layer 2 and Layer 3 devices (switches and routers) • Spanning Tree Protocol • Inter-domain routing protocols (RIP, static routes)
