2. JUNOS Combi (Intro to JUNOS Software IJS/Routing Essentials JRE/ Troubleshooting TJP)
Code:
JCOM
Overzicht:
This course is a 3-day combination of IJS (Intro to JUNOS Software), JRE (JUNOS Routing Essentials) and TJP (Troubleshooting JUNOS Platforms). Taking the courses separately would take 4 days. Avnet has combined the courses in a way which saves the student one training day. This course prepares students for the JUNOS-JNCIA certification.
IJS: This course provides students with the foundational knowledge required to work with JUNOS Software and to configure devices running JUNOS Software. Key topics include user interface options with a heavy focus on the command-line interface (CLI), configuration tasks typically associated with the initial setup of devices, interface configuration basics with configuration examples, secondary system configuration, and the basics of operational monitoring and maintenance of devices running JUNOS Software. Through demonstrations and hands-on labs, students will gain experience in configuring and monitoring the JUNOS Software and monitoring basic device operations.
JRE: This course provides students with foundational routing knowledge and configuration examples and includes an overview of general routing concepts, routing policy and firewall filters, and class of service (CoS). Through demonstrations and hands-on labs, students will gain experience in configuring and monitoring the JUNOS Software and monitoring basic device operations.
TJP: This course provides students with the foundational knowledge required to troubleshoot Juniper Networks platforms running JUNOS Software. The course also provides a brief overview of the device families that run JUNOS Software and discusses the key architectural components of the devices.
Through demonstrations and hands-on labs, students will gain experience in troubleshooting and monitoring JUNOS Software and basic device operations.
Doelstellingen:After successfully completing this course, you should be able to: IJS: • Describe the basic design architecture of JUNOS Software • Identify and provide a brief overview of devices running JUNOS Software • Navigate within the JUNOS Software CLI • Perform tasks within the CLI operational and configuration modes • Restore a device running JUNOS Software to its factory-default state • Perform initial configuration tasks • Configure and monitor network interfaces • Describe user configuration and authentication options • Perform secondary configuration tasks for features and services such as syslog and tracing, Network Time Protocol (NTP), configuration archival, and SNMP • Monitor basic operation for JUNOS Software and devices • Identify and use network utilities • Upgrade the JUNOS Software • Perform file system maintenance and password recovery on a device running JUNOS Software. JRE: • Explain basic routing operations and concepts • View and describe routing and forwarding tables • Configure and monitor static routing • Configure and monitor OSPF • Describe the framework for routing policy and firewall filters • Explain the evaluation of routing policy and firewall filters • Identify instances where you might use routing policy • Write and apply a routing policy • Identify instances where you might use firewall filters • Write and apply a firewall filter • Describe the operation and configuration for unicast reverse path forwarding (RPF) • Explain the purpose and benefits of class of service (CoS) • List and explain the various components of CoS • Implement and verify proper operation of CoS TJP: • Describe current JUNOS platforms offerings • Describe general installation procedures • Explain the architecture of platforms running JUNOS Software • Describe the function of JUNOS platform components • Describe layered troubleshooting methodology • Use various troubleshooting tools • Explain Juniper Networks Technical Assistance Center (JTAC) recommendations for current troubleshooting best practices; • Troubleshoot platforms running JUNOS Software using visual indicators • Troubleshoot platforms running JUNOS Software using the CLI • Troubleshoot JUNOS platform interfaces • Describe recommended JTAC troubleshooting processes and guidelines.
Doelgroep:This course benefits individuals responsible for configuring and monitoring devices running JUNOS Software.
Voorkennis:Students should have basic networking knowledge and an understanding of the OSI model and the TCP/IP protocol suite.
