Motorola develops its own laser scanners and imagers. These modules which scan 1D and 2D codes are not only used in their own terminals and hand held scanners but are also sold as OEM products. They are available as Miniscan and as Scan engine. A Miniscan can be easily installed with USB or RS232 interface. This minimizes the development cost of your device. When using a large number of scanners and unit price is more critical or when space is limited, you might want to use a scan engine instead. With these OEM products Motorola gives you the opportunity to use their advanced scanning technology in your products with a minimum of development costs.
