Avnet Technology Solutions creates new position in Networking and Security to fuel business growth


Bracknell, Berkshire, 14 August 2009:

Avnet Technology Solutions UK (Avnet) has promoted Pete Hannah into the newly created position of Sales Director of the Networking and Security business and welcomes Richard Snape into the role of Juniper Business Manager.


The role of Sales Director has been created to increase executive level engagement with key business partners. Pete, formerly Juniper Business Manager and an Avnet employee for over two years, has close to 15 years experience in networking and security. On his promotion, Pete said, “There is great scope within Avnet to grow the networking and security business and I’m relishing the opportunity to work closely with a broader section of our key partners to ensure they are maximizing Avnet’s value and to support them in identifying new revenue streams.”

Richard Snape joins Avnet from Sphinx where he was Juniper Business Manager and brings with him over 6 years experience in this area of technology.

Commenting on his recent move Richard said, “I joined Avnet because I believe it has a strong and differentiated message in the networking and security space. In addition to which it is able to execute an effective solutions proposition for its business partners which puts Avnet in a clear position of strength. I’m delighted to be joining at a point where the business is expanding and to be managing a vendor who is a key strategic partner to Avnet and clear industry leader.”

Further solutions include non-stop networking, secure mobility and unified communications.
