Avnet Helps Sourcefire Increase Its Cybersecurity Market Presence in the UK

Avnet Technology Solutions, the solutions distribution leader and an operating group of Avnet, Inc. (NYSE: AVT), has signed a distribution agreement with Sourcefire, a leader in intelligent cybersecurity solutions.  Under the agreement, Avnet will provide the Sourcefire 3D^® System, an intelligent security infrastructure for efficient and effective information security management, to value-added reseller partners in the UK.

Avnet’s expertise in networking and security solutions, combined with Sourcefire’s proven technology, will help partners transform the way their commercial and public sector companies manage and minimise network security risks.  By providing additional sales, marketing, technical and support services, Avnet gives Sourcefire partners the resources they need to expand their security offerings.  In addition Avnet will enable a broader channel providing smaller, traditionally untapped partners access to Sourcefire’s unique solution set.

Avnet will provide Sourcefire with increased exposure to the channel and the extra resources needed to effectively develop a strong channel community. Avnet will also help Sourcefire introduce new services, such as those related to financing, to provide partners with further growth opportunities.
