Software Value Plus Program changes coming soon for Tivoli and Rational

From 13th February 2012, selected products from Tivoli and Rational will move into a new group named IBM Security Systems Product Group which will be reflected in the IBM Software Group price book. The Rational AppScan products will move under this new Product Group.

From 13th February 2012 until 30th September 2012, the following certification tests will be associated with both the IBM Rational Authorisation Group and the new IBM Security Systems Product Group:

• IBM Rational AppScan Technical Sales Mastery v1
• IBM Rational AppScan Technical Sales Mastery Test v1
• IBM Certified Solution Associate - Rational AppScan Source Edition
• IBM Certified Specialist - Rational AppScan Standard Edition.

After 30th September 2012, these certifications will only be associated with the IBM Security Systems Product Group.

IBM Business Partners current technical and sales certifications will be valid to resell the products contained in the IBM Security Systems Product Group until 30th September 2012. After this date, those who plan to continue selling products must hold or pass appropriate certification exams listed on the IBM Certification Web site.

For IBM partners who hold certifications for IBM Rational Appscan products, current certifications will be valid to resell products contained in the IBM Rational Authorised Group and the new IBM Security Systems Product Group until 30th September 2012.
After this date, AppScan certifications will be valid only for the IBM Security Systems Product Group. Partners who plan to continue selling products within the IBM Rational Authorised Product Group must hold or pass appropriate certifications (Sales, Technical Sales, Professional Certifications).
