Regulations
At Avnet we follow strict regulations to ensure that we meet our values of limiting the environmental impact.
The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (W.E.E.E) Directive aims to minimise the impact on the environment of EEE both during and at the end of its life cycle, we are able to reduce our carbon footprint.
In addition to this, we also follow the RoHS Directive which bans the placing on the EU market of new electrical and electronic equipment containing more than agreed levels of lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyl (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE) flame retardants.
