Aruba's approach centralises control in the datacenter, connecting over any available existing transport network to low-cost plug-and-play access devices at the network edge. By "virtualising" access to the data center across existing networks - separating higher layer security and service delivery functions from the network transport function - Aruba eliminates the interdependency and complexity of traditional networking approaches.
Consistent across all Aruba solutions, Aruba's "virtual edge" architecture allows low-cost access points at the edge of the network to intelligently tunnel user traffic across an IP transport network to a centrally-located controller. This architecture forms the foundation for Aruba's enterprise wireless LAN and branch office/teleworker solutions. Supplementing these solutions are value-add security services such as NAC/endpoint compliance and wireless intrusion prevention. To manage the entire system, the AirWave Management Suite provides visibility and control for the entire IT staff.

Controllers
Aruba's high-performance controllers serve as the hardware engines for the ArubaOSTM operating system. Aruba controllers come in modular, standalone and branch office form factors and have a hardware architecture with separate high-performance network, crypto and control plane processors.
Access Points
High-performance 802.11n Wi-Fi to outdoor mesh to wired-only devices, Aruba access points serve as on-ramps that aggregate user traffic onto the enterprise network. Working in conjunction with Aruba controllers, access points are "thin" devices that need no configuration, no software updates, and no management.
Air Wave Management
The AirWave Management SuiteTM is the only network management software to deliver a single, easy-to-use console that gives the entire IT staff full visibility and control over their wireless network and its users. Network engineers, helpdesk staff, IT managers and security analysts at more than 500 enterprises and large organizations use the AirWave software to make their wireless networks supportable, reliable, and secure.
RF Protect
RFprotect provides 24/7 wireless monitoring via an overlay sensor network and a centralised intrusion prevention system for protecting against wireless threats in and around enterprise facilities.
