Achieving the full benefits of virtualisation
Greater consolidation of Virtual Servers with Brocade:
As virtualisation becomes more prevalent in enterprise data centers, organisations require new connectivity options with higher performance, guaranteed service levels, simplified management, and greater data protection for both physical and virtualised environments. As part of the strategic Brocade DCF architecture, the Brocade HBAs lay the foundation for extending fabric intelligence to servers, virtual machines, applications, and services—enabling end-to-end storage network management. This approach enables tighter integration across the enterprise, including both physical and virtual networks.
By installing Brocade HBAs, organisations have the foundation to leverage N_Port ID Virtualisation (NPIV) and maintain Quality of Service (QoS) from the virtual port throughout the fabric.
Intelligent Fabric Virtualisation:
Brocade DCX Backbones include a Virtual Fabrics feature that enables partitioning of a physical SAN into logical fabrics and isolation by application, business group, customer, or traffic type. As a result of deploying this type of environment, customers can benefit again with less infrastructure, lower power consumption, and lower cooling requirements by physically reducing the number of devices in their infrastructure.
