- In a 2010 survey of CIOs across Europe, Gartner found that today 3% of CIOs have the majority of their IT running in the cloud or on SaaS technologies, but over the next four years the CIOs contacted expect this number to increase to 43%
- IDC forecasts that SaaS will have 25.3% Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) through 2014 with a Worldwide revenue of £40.5bn. Also 34% of new business software purchases will be consumed by SaaS
- According to Forrester Research in 2010 54% of firms contacted are planning or interested in a SaaS deployment, with only 14% not planning to use SaaS
- Computer Economics 2010 research found that the number of organisations that are turning to software-as-a-service (SaaS) is rising rapidly. About 36% of the firms they surveyed have SaaS in place, which is up from 24% in 2009.
