What is PowerNet?

PowerNet is a mature and established IBM partner programme, designed to generate solution sales into new midmarket customers.

The programme works by creating selling networks or coalitions. Avnet Technology Solutions will team with one or more IBM Resellers, Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) and, where applicable, a Systems Integrator to deliver the solution to the customer. IBM works closely to advise and support the coalition.

The PowerNet programme is comprised of the following three key areas:

• Recruitment: New ISVs are continually recruited into PowerNet to establish solution-led teams
• Co-marketing: Co-marketing funding may be available for registered coalitions to execute marketing tactics which drive business
• Solution selling: Solutions are made up of the ISV application and a mix of IBM brands, including:
  
  • IBM Power i, Power p, System Storage, System x® and Retail Store Solutions (RSS)
  • IBM Software Group (SWG) Internet Security Systems (ISS)
  • IBM Maintenance and Technical Support (MTS).
