New trade-in programme for MC55A0 and MC75A0
Encourage your end users to trade in their old mobile computers for a new MC75A0 or MC55A0 and receive a rebate of $155 (MC55A0) or $165 (MC75A0) per unit.

What units can be traded in?
Any brand/model of mobile computer with a three inch – four inch (7.6cm to 10.2cm) diagonal screen size. One unit can be traded in for every one new qualifying MC55A0 or MC75A0 unit purchased.
Trade-in values
The following rebates will be paid by Motorola directly to you, the reseller:
- Trade-in rebate on a MC55A0: $155
- Trade-in rebate on a MC75A0: $165
Units traded in with damaged screens will receive $95 per unit.
The rebates quoted above include a $5 postage contribution per unit.
The impact on Price Exceptions (PEs)
Price Exceptions will be rejected in favour of this programme but existing PEs will be honoured. PE renewals will be considered but not guaranteed.
The trade-in process
- Resellers will need to register to take part in the programme on Motorola’s trade-in website
- Purchase MC55A0 or MC75A0 units for your customer from Avnet, remember to ask us for the latest pricing
- Within 30 days of purchasing the new units, you need to complete an online form with details of the trade in request
- Your request will then be validated by Motorola (based on sales out reporting)
- Send the old mobile computer units to Brno within 120 days of purchasing the new units from Avnet
- Motorola will then check the condition of the returned units and quantity and pay the rebate to you directly via bank transfer before recycling the traded in units.
