Business Ruggedized Toughbooks
The robustness of the Business Ruggedized Toughbooks has been improved with drop tests, meaning that even in active operation they can withstand falls from a height of up to 76 cm without damage.
Accidental drink spillages cannot damage the Toughbook Business models – a special drainage system reliably protects the keyboard, touchpad and other sensitive components from splashes, particularly on journeys. A full 200-ml glass spilt directly over the keyboard and touchpad simply flows out through the drainage channels. All the electronics in the notebook remain dry and intact.
With optimal pressure distribution, the Business Rugged Toughbook Executive models also withstand pressure of up to 100 kg/f, meaning that the sensitive LCD display, in particular, is safe from breakages and other damage. Damage to the hard disk from external shocks and vibrations is also prevented – it is integrated in an unbreakable magnesium case, equipped with four shock-absorbing pads made from high-tech material.
