Avnet Technology Solutions has a facility in Southall, near London, which has engineering resources that can be utilised for its partners to pre-build and configure solutions before they ship to customer sites.
Utilise the Configuration Centre to reduce implementation time. By using our experienced engineers, costs can significantly be reduced, and your technical resource can be utilised in other areas to better effect.
Packaged Services available:-
Hardware Pre-Build Service (CTL-BLD-FH) includes:-
- Pre-Installation of X-Options into Sun Servers/Storage to Sun EIS standards
- Power on Self Test to check all components are present - this does not perform a functional test of every component.
- Re-generation of Sun part number/serial number sheets to include fitted X-Options
- Optional Asset tagging of hardware - we provide asset number/serial number information via email after build.
- Optional Host name labelling on Systems
Operating System Pre-Build Service (CTL-BLD-OS) includes:-
- Hardware Pre-build as above.
- Updating of all Hardware Firmware to Sun EIS Standards.
- Optional Sun Verification Test suite Component Soak test (1hr - 24hr)
- Solaris 8/9/10 Latest Version installation only to pre-defined build parameters.
- User will be prompted for site specific information .ie hostname, IP address when the server is next switched on.
Pre-Shipment Hardware Racking Service (CTL-BLD-RACK) includes:-
- Racking of Sun Hardware to customer pre-defined layout.
- Cabling of Power cables from PDUs to hardware. (NO ethernet, fibre or SCSI cabling)
Bespoke Services available:-
- Secure bonded storage of hardware
- Custom pre-build of Operating System using bespoke build document from customer
- Ethernet, Fibre and SCSI Cabling within Racking Service
- Labelling of connections
