Licensing Information
NetBackup PureDisk is licensed based on the number of servers (clients) and the amount of data to protect (front-end capacity). Existing NetBackup customers who wish to use the PureDisk Deduplication Option to deduplicate their NetBackup data, would purchase the same type of capacity license. Capacity licenses are available in 250GB and 1TB increments.
Quoting and Ordering
PureDisk capacity is quoted based on the amount of data on the servers that a customer wishes to protect. NetBackup 6.6 customers who wish to use the PureDisk Deduplication Option do not need to purchase additional client licenses. This license option is part of the NetBackup PureDisk family.
